I am a Bermuda resident who is desperately trying to purchase a 2.16Ghz Macbook Pro. Apple does not want to take my money even if I wire it to them, and get them to drop ship it to a US forwarding address in the US.
The only other company I can find who sells this unit is www.smalldog.com however their contract with Apple also does not allow them to export this unit. Amazon allows you to purchase a 2 Ghz Macbook, and drop ship it to US forwarding address however they don’t have the 2.16 Ghz model. The only thing Apple lets you purchase from the store is a .Mac membership using a credit card with a Bermudian billing address. Companies like Dell advise in the local Bermuda paper and will ship direct to Bermuda. Why can’t Apple do the same? |
