I noticed there is a newer version of vbulletin out. Looks like it has more integration with skype. I'm sure it can be a pain to upgrade. But just wondering if we might be expiriencing some down time any time soon?

Yeah, we've actually been out of date for a while. It is indeed a pain to upgrade; we have a lot of modified files that I have to redo and test on our backup server before pushing live. I'll get around to it when I get around to it.
 The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting. |

Oh wait...  While we're on the topic, I'd like to thank Brad and all the mods for all the hard work it takes to run a place like this. My roommate's got a *small* PHPBB setup, and he spends so much of his time on it, it's not even funny. I can't imagine the effort that goes into maintaining a place like this. Thanks again, guys and gals!  When I was a kid, people who did wrong were punished, restricted, and forbidden. Now, when someone does wrong, all of the rest of us are punished, restricted, and forbidden... and the one who did the wrong is counselled and "understood" and fed ice cream. |
