I ordered mine Oct 19, 2005 at 6:54, and had an estimated shipping date of the 16th, according to the UK Apple store, it still hasn’t shipped!

Ordered from California about one week after announce, with extra RAM and 500MB disk. Estimated ship 11/22, actual ship 11/16.

Just phoned the Apple Store UK and they said that my order was in their dispatch depo and will be shipped today at lunchtime! - Yes TODAY! - he said the order will show up as being shipped later this afternoon on the store website. (FYI: my estimated ship date was on or before 25th November).

I've got a weeks holiday to take before the end of the year. Looks as if it'll be next week to get to know my new quad and 23" display

[EDIT] A quick look at the current Quad G5 order page shows an estimated ship time of 9-11 days for all new orders. Looks like the quad production line is finally in full swing.

Phoned Apple UK, and they dont know why it hasnt shipped... maybe because I only ordered a Quad, and not a screen and other stuff as well? I’ll just put the box of RAM I ordered yesterday in the space that should be filled by a Quad.

Grrr....just checked the online order tracker and it says... 7th December. Not good, and not what I was told at the time of ordering. Doesn't bode well for the big project I must have finished by the 19th December, either...

Phoned Apple UK again! Seems my base config Quad G5 and many others were en route from China, and have been delayed by customs in Amsterdam for 48 hours. No wonder they are so fast they must be on speed!

The apple store has revised there ship times for stock Quads... from 2-3 weeks to 7 -10 business days! Looks promising!

The distribution of the quads have been strange. First people are getting their quads weeks early and now people who's orders are coming up due are getting delayed. If mine doesn't get shipped tomorrow I'm going to be upset.

Now I have to quick order the RAM and a 300 GB SATA drive. Can't wait to drive those processors 'til they melt into a burning pool of lead! (just kidding)

We should say where we are - I'm in the NYC area. And I ordered basically a stock Quad with the USB modem.

I am wondering if those in the Euro Zone are the ones having the ship delays I saw posted.

I'm hoping so. Apple has another 4.5 hours to ship mine before they get a phone call tomorrow morning. They've already upgraded my shipping once over this order. Shall we go for overnight?

I just spent 1.5 hours driving round trip again today to the Apple store. After confirming that they could build my machine like my web order, I got there tonight and they did not have any 500 GB SATA drives nor did they have any bluetooth wireless cards. I am now back to waiting for my Dec. 7th shipment.

Bummer.

Just logged into my Apple store account... and guess what... its shipped! So much for the email from Apple telling me that it has shipped! I guess Im going to have to take another day off.... what a shame Strange on Thursday they tell me its going to ship by Nov 22... and it actually shipped Friday Nov 18... Maybe best for everybody to keep checking their accounts rather than waiting for an email...

WTF. Mine was supposed to ship yesterday but has been moved back to the 6th of December. Yet the last two posters have had their ordered bumped up. All I ordered was the wireless package which should take all of 60 sec for a trained person to put in.

If you ordered the bluetooth+Wireless card, than that is probably your problem. I've heard through many people that apple has not gotten those cards to work to their standards and is one of the many reasons for delays. So unless you really need the Airport card, or don't want to buy one seperatly, I'd call apple!

I don't think the airport card explains the odd pattern by which Apple is filling orders. My Quad is equipped with an airport card and it arrived a few days early (on the 16th).

I called Apple and one of the desk monkeys thought that something in my order might be involved in the delay. She suggested it might be the graphics problem but I only ordered the 6600 so thats not the problem. I would drop the wireless thing except I have a bluetooth phone and I want to be able to use it with both computers, and I don't really want a dongle. I'm hoping is ships on Monday. Right now it's back to staring at my 2x 512 MB sticks of ram where the G5 should be.
