I put up other stuff as well, it's just been a little heavy on the sports side recently.

Tweetie for Mac is in private beta, I haven't found a Twitter Mac client I like yet, I use Newsfire and the Twiiter website. Tweetie is fab on the iPhone so I'm expecting great things. @gruber (Daring Fireball) is in the private beta so I'm going to keep an eye on him for a review.

I prefer TwitterFon for the iPhone and TweetDeck for my Macbook.

I recently switched from Twitterrific to Lounge on the Mac. Also tried out Bluebird.
Haven't really decided on an iPhone client yet. |

I've been using Tweetie on my iPhone since it came out. Truly a wonderful piece of software.
I was using Twitteriffic on my Mac for a long time, but I just didn't like it anymore. Too limited. I tried TweetDeck, but I can't stand AIR applications, so I recently started using Nambu. It's a beta (but what isn't these days?) so it's kind of buggy, but it's very nice. Kind of like TweetDeck, but OS X native. No more Twitter. It's Mastodon now. |

I haven't found a Mac client I like so I just stick with the web site, but on the iPhone I really like Twitterriffic. I know it doesn't have a lot of the features that some of the other clients do, but I'm good with it as is.

Everybody with Twitter, please follow CNN's Twitter feed.
Why? Right now, CNN is racing to become the first Twitter feed with 1,000,000 followers. Who are they racing? Ashton Kutcher. Please, please don't let Ashton Kutcher win. I think I'd lose faith in humanity if Ashton had more Twitter followers than anybody else. and i guess i've known it all along / the truth is, you have to be soft to be strong |

Note that it's @cnnbrk and not @cnn.
Interestingly enough, until a few days ago @cnnbrk had no affiliation with CNN at all. http://www.businessinsider.com/cnn-a...llowers-2009-4 |

Morons. And this is a "big story", everywhere I turn this morning.
We're doomed and cornholed. But at least we can Tweet and let everyone else know to what degree, so there's that. |

This tweet makes me fear for humanity.
I followed Kutcher on Twitter when he was somewhat interesting, but I stopped once he went into this race with CNN. He's a decent actor, but I think he's become more known recently for being Demi Moore's husband. I've trimmed my following list a few times to get rid of stupid accounts like theirs. No more Twitter. It's Mastodon now. |

All of these posts about nonsense. Use twitter as an information tool. I have local TV channels tweets that I follow. I use the search function and type in words like gun show and farmers market and see what tweets pop up. Dave Matthews, ah some people talking about the show in my area, tag them for later twitts for after the concert going ons.

Tweetie for Mac is now out.
http://www.atebits.com/tweetie-mac/ It looks awesome. It sucks that I can't play with it today because I'll be at work, but it looks incredible so far. No more Twitter. It's Mastodon now. |

I know this is wrong, and self-promotional and all.. but Captain Drew makes me, even me, laugh, sometimes.
I have no idea where the stuff comes from... constantly surprised by the stuff he posts... have seriously started believing that I may in fact be channeling a really real space pirate... Just from today (and am only posting it because it keeps making me giggle): Quote:

Seriously...what has caused this all in such a quick burst? I've noticed that I've heard/read about Twitter more in the past month than I have in 18 months!
![]() When did it take off? It's on every TV show, news article, interview with a celebrity, etc. Just all of a sudden, it's everywhere! Last edited by psmith2.0 : 2009-04-22 at 11:31. |
