I really hope the $3000 price was just a filler based on the current price. It is crossed out at least. EDIT: Crap. Just found this: http://purplemacaroni.com/images/Amazon.jpg Looks like they took that down and replaced it with something just a little less informative. Last edited by Luca : 2005-04-26 at 10:32. |

A $500 drop for all models would be nice. They could even drop the single processor version and just put the duals at $1500, $2000, and $2500. Staying at the same price points while not introducing ANY new technology at all or providing any worthwhile upgrades even in basic features would be ridiculous. But it might happen

I find it hard (very hard indeed) to believe (almighty me!) that Apple allows Amazon to 'spread the news' like this before Apple does it herself (Ta!.)
Ofcourse it's not BIG news... but still it makes me wonder... especially because both Amazon & Apple are both notoriously careful with these kind of things... And I also see a pattern with 'Steve Jobs' being 'pissed off' because of a 'mistake' that another company makes... but what the hell there's the buzz... and buzz is good for buisiness... O, Boooh, I am getting carried away... I'll lock myself up now... and throw away the key. |

I'm more interested in the next iMacs personally. But I guess if these powermacs just happened to be dual core(yea right) that'd be pretty neat, I still wouldn't be buying one though.
That said, Amazon's blunder was pretty uncharacteristic of them(then again they did it with tiger). You'd think apple would just go ahead and release the sucker, it's not that big of a deal. |

Steve must be having fun this week, Tiger shipping early, and now this. For some reason this whole thing screams conspiracy between Amazon and Apple. I guess I can't give in to the idea that we won't see dual cores. |
