Haha. They've got the images screwed up. The top one is listed as the Dell girl, even though it's the gateway ad. The bottom one, listed as the gateway girl, even though it's the Dell ad.

Still, some funny stuff. Wonder if she did that on purpose?

Out of all the stock photography collections out there - many, no doubt, featuring a "teens" or "school life" category - it's quite funny that two companies chose the same chick.



Although she has her little necklace thing off in one. Maybe they'll consider that enough of a difference?

And you know it's stock because, unlike Apple's stuff (where they show people using an iPod or iBook or whatever), this is just a generic, "anything you want it to be" shot. Had Dell (or Gateway) staged the shoot and perhaps put one of their products in her hand (or at least their logo on her backpack) this wouldn't have happened.



Bet the art departments at both Dell and Gateway are scouring their photo CDs and online resources to get a new pic...and watch the chuckleheads both pick the same exact new one.

stock images (and a poor/cheap effort on both companies' part) - but I like that part about the background (Reed College) being an exclusively Mac campus only ... oh the irony!
