Another good one. That "you get what you pay for...and sometimes you're surprised (in either direction)" applies to so many things. The guitar world is full of people who get into the weeds and minutiae over everything, and pay high prices for everything, equating those two things - price and quality - with one another. It just isn't so. You can always find wonderful, reasonably-priced gems out there...whiskey, guitars/mandolins, etc. Discovering them is half the fun.
