In iTunes I can create an iMix with playlists, what exactly does it do? It uplaods them to the iTunes Music Store, yes? I dont know... need some explanation. Apple.com didnt help, nor iTunes Help, maybe I'ven't looked hard enough.

I posts the list of tracks for people to see and preview. It only works with tracks that are available on the store.
This is just a sly way of getting the users to do the advertising and marketing for Apple and company. John likes artists X, Y, and Z and puts them together on an iMix. Jane likes John's compilation and buys some songs from it and puts up her own iMix. Repeat! |

I think it's just a personally chosen playlist that can be viewed/shared with others via iTMS. Like Celebrity playlists, but done by ordinary people. It's another way of enabling people to find more artists/songs that they may like based on similar music preferences.

Well it can be useful when you want to tell people something about you through your choice of music.
