http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/n...re/5365676.stm

Heres hoping he will be OK

Shit - hope he's okay. They've done some crazy stuff and always make out that they're winging it, but I think in reality the safety is usually pretty tight on that programme.

Oh no! They have such a great chemistry on that show. I'd hate to see him go...

Well apparently he was taken by helicopter to leeds hospital, but some say he walked away and then got in the helicopter, but they are also saying he is critical. Stupid media.

Remember the caravan incident recently?

(Jeremy creates chip pan fire, within 2 minutes the entire caravan is up in flames, all 3 presenters rush inside to try and put it out, Richard chucks cushion out the window and before you know it the caravan next to it is going up as well! )

Oh no! I hope he will recover 100%. He always seems to have such a great zest for life. Truly a unique person.

I was only watching the episode on the Bugatti Veyron last night and wondered how long before something bad happened.

I hope he is ok. I love the show.

Bloody hell. Least he's stable for now, and our thoughts go to his family.

The new series in a few weeks time'll be interesting...

Good news that Richard is stable. My thoughts are with his family at such a terrible time, here's hoping for a full recovery.

Ooh! They gave my V8 Discovery props

Good news he's stable... That of course means we will get to see his accident in an episode too! Those guys are absolute loons. I don't know how they get away with the stuff they do on that show. Love 'em all.

Glad to hear he's stable now. I just watched some clips on YouTube. They do have great chemistry ... and that whole caravan series was a classic - what a set-up.

That's such a fun show. I've got more Top Gear clips on my iPod than any other single program.

Damn! For a moment I feared it was an ugly deja vu of what happened to Crocodile Steve.

Good to hear he's stable, Let's just hope it goes the right way for him...

Richard often seem to be the guineapig of the show, but this one should probably have been done by The Stig.

Man...

That car looks like any number of jet-powered cars that show up for exhibitions at dragstrips & airshows here in the US.

I'm wondering if Richard has ever been rated to drive something at that level of speed. I hope that he went through a training process leading up to this run.

One day!!

US people: almost double that figure to get it in dollars.

Apparently, according to JC, hes taken his first steps. Thats pretty impressive, considering hes had probably the worlds fastest car crash.
