I accidentally deleted a .rtf file that was on my desktop, and I desperately need it recovered. I tried PhotoRec, but don't know enough about navigating directories to have any luck. I also tried Stellar Phoenix Mac Data Recovery, but it doesn't seem to be able to find the deleted file when scanning my hard disk.
The deleted file is a tiny .rtf TextEdit document that was on my desktop and was created earlier this week and updated yesterday. Is it possible it has already been overwritten? If not, can anyone please suggest the best way to try and recover this file? I am using Mac OS X 10.4.11 on a PowerBook G4. TIA. |
