Hey Guys,
I guess you will be seeing more of my kind in the next few months.
I was a Windows user for most of my Tech Life and only ever used Macs when a Good Friend of mine came around with his Powerbook.
After much research and playing with Demo Models in stores I have decided to take a leap from the Windows World to the Apple World. Forgive Me Bill Gates, for i have Fallen.
Anyway, I bought my First ever Apple Laptop , A Powerbook 15" , 1.5ghz, 512mb, etc....etc..... its the Speedbump one.
Im awaiting for it to Arrive and then Ill begin to transfer my stuff from the Windows laptop to the Powerbook. I have to say Im excited about the whole thing.
Anyway, Ill be on this site like a bad rash for more info.

Rule #1 - Never apologize to Bill Gates. For ANYTHING. Even if you run over his dog...

Congratulations and welcome to all things Mac!

I was in the same situation only last summer... but it seems like it was ages ago. After a month, I no longer even considered running Windows for my primary OS, and I've lived 10+ years on Windows. I can survive with it, but what's the point? At most I'll get a fast box for games and HD video watching and keep everything critical on the Mac.

Congrats on your new purchase!

I just ordered my very first PB this week, too, after using PCs exclusively for the past 10+ years. You're far from alone, I know several others who are making the switch. I can't wait for my PB to arrive, and I haven't felt this good about a technology purchase in a LONG time!!

PS, my friend who is a programmer at Microsoft also just purchased a PB

NOw Im feling even better about my choice since you guys have posted.
I was in a G3 Store today where they had a Powerbook setup, it was the older one , think the 1.3ghz model.
But i was fooling around with it, thinking of when my little baby will arrive and I can do what ever I want with it.
Any Handy tips on the best way to move my stuff from the Windows laptop to the Powerbook??
Cheers

Either burn your "My Documents" to a CD or just bust out a network connection and xfer over the network.

I wanted to congratulate you on making the switch. I made the switch last fall and have already sold my Windows based laptop. Welcome aboard
