I use to burn CDs as a back up of my iTunes settings, safari bookmarks, iCal, Adresss Book etc.
Most of these I have Aliases in the Burn Folder for easy burning to CD, eg for the bookmarks I link to the bookmarks.plist file. When I look in the Burn folder under Last Date Modified I see the dates when I created these aliases. Obviously they files have changed since then but this is not reflected in the shown dates. Am I burning out of date files or are these aliases up to date (I hope)? Thanks. iBook 12" 1.33GHz G4 1GB 60GB OS X 10.4.11, iPod Nano 8GB 2G, Canon Ixus Digital 40 |

The dates are correct for the ALIAS files, as those files have not been modified. An alias will not become modified unless you change the alias file itself - changing the file it references will NOT cause the alias to change.
