I'm about to archive about 20 GB of iTunes data and I cannot seem to find a really comprehensive link as to how to do it. I have created a smartlist with everything in it but that's all. What about the library.xml and itunes data files? Are these important and should they be copied too?

By 'archive' do you mean backing-up your iTunes library? When I back mine up I just copy the entire iTunes folder in my Music folder. The XML file and Data file will keep your precious playcounts and playlists safe and sound.
If I'm mistaken by 'archive' then ignore me. |
