Hello all.

I'm trying to Photoshop an image to make a T-shirt. In particular, this image:

I just want the little screaming man on a transparent background (and preferably in white, so I can put it on a black shirt.) I'd imagine that there's a way for me to replace all the red with "nothing" but I'm buggered if I can find it. How do I do it?

You'll need the 'magic wand' tool for that!
You can change the 'tolerance' untill it selects all the red

edit: looks something like this: (crap picture i know)

The simplest would be to click the red area with the magic wand tool (set tolerance to something like 16) and press backspace. If you haven't selectd all, you can click on the remaining area an do the same. You could also opt for a higher tolerance.

This method might leave you with jagged borders though so you might want to use a small feather. I would anyhow suggest you to use a larger picture.

Personally, I'd make one of those punk graphic guys from AppleNova do it for you.

Ho, snap!

Hmm, seems to be missing something w/o the orange background. This could totally go in the 'Nova store if Bryson doesn't mind.

You know what...I'll buy it from there, too, if you do!

Was the above the method you used, Brad? Just so I know for next time...

Any thoughts on a slogan of sorts? Or are you just interested in the image?

How about:

DANGER FIRE KILLS CHILDREN
STRIKE SOFTLY AWAY FROM BODY
KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN

Heck, I might even buy one.

Time to see if CafePress supports printing white ink yet...

That was exactly my thought - it needs the slogan underneath too. I like "Strike softly away from body".

It's an awesomely terrible image, isn't it?

Awesomely terrible?
Or terribly awesome?

I say, "yes!"

(I'm on it now.)

Now I feel the need to post the diagram I found in a product catalog a couple of years ago. It is a universal stick man demonstration of an impact test. I'll post it forthwith...

Found it!

Hmm, I was thinking text referring to flammable children.

Warning: Children Flammable

<Image>

Keep away from open flame.

Ok, that doesn't resonate right, but something to that effect.

I'm keen. And it was perfect!

I love the suggestion that adults are, on the other hand, entirely impervious to fire....

I might have, but I don't think anyone ever bought one.

Just to say that they came today. (Frakin' customs!) And they are hella awesome. We like very much indeed, and people are already asking where they can get them from!

Thanks!

Looks pretty cool.

What are the quality of those t-shirts? Can you buy, say one 'Nova and some other CafePress in one shipment?

Also, how good is the size-chart?

thanks

I'll wait until I can get all three of us in the same room, then photo-age will ensue!
