To a bunch of different users, mostly on windows...
I uploaded a standard MPEG-4 file from QuickTime to my iDisk, posted a link from my blog (see sig)... Why won't it play on their computers if they don't have quicktime? I thought MPEG-4 files were standard files that anyone could play?  Any ideas? 1215/234215 (top .51875%) People really have got to stop thinking there is only one operating system, one economic system, one religion, and one business model. -EvilTwinSkippy (/.) Give it a .mp4 name and Real Player should play it fine on Windows. I'd expect WMP should too, but I have less experience with it.
Also, IMHO, you ought to consider using a lower bit rate. My old dual 500 G4 stuttered a little bit during playback. The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting. |

grr... .mp4... I'll try it.
And I'm not too concerned with the playback, as long as the quality is decent... the main thing is that the individual frames come out, not so much the video.
