Well fuck.

Doesn't really say much. I mean, how? I'd hate to think that he...Lord. His poor parents.

Someone should post something at AI. There are probably a few old-timers there that would want to know

We can all guess how, and I fear that more because it doesn't say. We need to get his parents address so we can send condolences somehow.

We'll be working on something we can do for Jack's parents as a group, right now though we're just trying to get a hold of the folks who haven't heard anything yet. I think we're all in shock.

Reading his emails from last week I can certainly, reluctantly, guess. Looking back, I think he was projecting his past experience onto what he presumed my situation was. I appreciated the advice but felt he was overreacting/reading too much into it.

I smiled then because it was downright fatherly of him, despite him being fourteen years younger than me. Thankfully, although we had a bit of back and forth over a client, it was resolved amicably. As far as I can tell.

Life makes some people's souls old far too quickly.

This is really sad. 24?!? I always assumed he was my age or so (mid-thirties)...I had no idea he was so young. He packed a lot in those 24 years, apparently.

That's just really, really sad. His devotion to 'Nova was worn on his sleeve. He put so much into the place.

He certainly had a zest for life, and went full-tilt, from all I've gathered. Nobody should have to go at 24, no matter what. That's just way too young...

My sincere condolences to his family and friends of whom he obviously had many over here.
Much too young. Life can be very hard and unfair.

What an awful shock to come home to. I didn't know LoCash well, but he was undeniably always an interesting poster (often refreshingly so!), a good moderator, and a generally cool guy.

On the plus side, he certainly always gave the impression that he lived his life to the fullest. He sounded like he'd packed more experience into his years than I'll get in a lifetime. Threads like this one spring to mind.

I'm still in shock/denial over this. I don't know what to say other than what an incredible fucking shame. Jack was a really great guy.

Damn, that's just terrible news. I don't know what else to say right now.

I knew he was young, but I didn't realize he was only three years older than me. I feel horrible for his parents. Do they have any other children besides Jack's late sister?

Jack always struck me as an extremely mature, intelligent, and funny guy. I hadn't really spoken with him much lately, but he was always willing to help me with whatever he could.

He will be missed.

RIP Jack.

This is a sh*t day. But one crumb of consolation is the reaction to LoCash's news. Today I'm frankly proud of 'Nova.
