The new James Bond trailer!

Not really sure what to make of it to be honest. Im hoping its going to be fantastic, and I, unlike many, have decided to put aside any judgement for a 5 foot 9 inch blonde man playing Bond.
November 17th here we come.

Casino Royale has been my favorite Bond book, ever, and the fact that they're apparently sticking closely to it just thrills me. It's a very different Bond than we ever saw in the movies, or even in the later books. Frankly, it's the events that make him into who he is.

Whether they can pull *all* of it off, well, we'll see. But I have high hopes from what I've seen so far.

BTW, if you've never read the book, you have no idea what a wry joke the title of this thread is...

I'm pretty damned excited.

This isn't the 'new' trailer though, the one you posted has been on Apple for a bit now. The NEW trailer is on Sony's site ('Watch in Full Screen' with that Vividas or whatever it's called full-screen-takeover). A little more gritty imo.

That trailer _looks_ good. Too bad there isn't any sound. (on my computer at least)

I was really looking forward to this movie. I thought that Daniel Craig was a great idea...but that trailer looks like trash. Maybe it is because I thought this would be a better spy movie. You know, more than just explosions. I thought it would have some sort of intelligence and depth about it. Not just the mindless action that Die Another Die fixated on.
But maybe that won't happen. Maybe it'll be better. Craig is a brute and his resume in realistic violence is good, but he's a pretty good actor on top of that. After all, people quote dialogue from movies, not different ways that faceless henchmen and over the top villains can be shot.
