They should put some rules in place re: moronic, lying-ass click-bait and fake celebrity death video memorials. So much lying and bullcrap on that platform, it’s ridiculous.

I can only hope that the actual computer wizards come back to this thread so you two old-man knuckleheads will pipe down with your yelling at clouds.

No, YouTube is crazy lately! And very ad-heavy too. Almost before every video. It’s a weird site. These shows will come. We may have even seen one and didn’t realize. That’ll be the test. A big, high-end movie where everything/everyone isn’t real and we never noticed. And when actors who don’t actually exist start picking up Oscar nominations! I suppose it could happen someday. The Academy will have to come up with some new sets of rules too, once AI starts out-acting De Niro, Streep, Goggins, Bullock, etc.!

AI duplication of existing actors was a big part of the last contract dispute. I don’t think studios will be able to do that under the new contract. That all started with deepfakes of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and a few others in shows.

As for AI outdoing real people, recent surveys found that pictures of AI generated people were seen as more believable than real people. Take that filter using social media snobs!

It's a crazy world. Some (most?) days I'm not 100% sure of what's what. Especially anything I see online, knowing how easily stuff is faked/tricked. I never automatically believe something I see - a story, some crazy photo or even video at this point. My natural, gut reaction is "faked for clicks/attention".

Much of the time, I'm right.

Scary when you can't even trust your own eyes.
