Been catching up on House recently. Couple of excellent episodes this season, specifically the one that viewed a day in the life of Cuddy.

Yeah that was a good episode. And I've recently gone back to watching House too. Even though the path the plot takes is almost identical in every episode (patient comes in, everybody thinks it's something easy, then they get unexpected symptoms, all doctors are clueless until the last 10 minutes when House hears something somebody else says and the light bulb goes off. Every damn episode), but the plots themselves are pretty good, with some pretty wacky illnesses.
The subplots with Cuddy and Wilson have been pretty good too. Still a lot of good writing and characters on that show. |

Does it drive anyone else crazy when they do an English voiceover for Iron Chef Morimoto?

Was just flipping around the dial and came across the Saturday edition of "Good Morning America" on ABC.
Who was the female co-host? Why, none other than the always-luscious Ashleigh Banfield...rocking a short skirt, those glasses and black, strappy shoes. I fell in the floor. And pretty much reached my quota of impure thoughts for the day. ![]() Seriously, I've not seen her in ages. Getting hit with that much hotness in the morning, with no warning, is hazardous to one's health. ![]() Good to see her back on the air somewhere. It's been ages. Now if only I can put together that "Ashleigh vs. Mika Brzezinski Quaker State Motor Oil Wrestling Match", my work here will be done. ![]() |

I never watched The Wire, simply because I don't have HBO. I've been waiting patiently for Treme to hit the iTMS, but nothing so far.
I may have to resort to "other means" to watch it, simply because I have so much interest in the subject matter. The word from those with first-hand local knowledge who have seen it is that it is amazingly authentic. The only way anyone's found fault with its accuracy thus far is with some finely-tuned nitpicking, such as Hubig's Pies not being back in business, and most people's electricity in flooded neighborhoods not being back on, and flooded structures not appearing "damaged" enough, and not enough piles of debris topped off by duct-taped refrigerators, for the 90-days-post-storm timeframe of the show. The fact that HBO has already renewed it for a second season says that they're pretty impressed thus far. |

Sunday nights I've been watching Treme at my friend's place, and other than that The X-Files via Watch Instantly.

Has anyone seen Party Down? It's on Starz, but I'm watching it via Netflix streaming. Pretty darn funny. And it's got Jane Lynch (in Season 1, anyway), which automatically makes it worthy of a look.

She's so funny. I like everything I see her in. And the straighter and more "I'm not going for broad laughs" she plays it, the funnier she is. She's great in so many roles. I really liked her in "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" (and my answer to her would've been "yes", BTW...).
![]() "A Mighty Wind", "Talladega Nights", the brief appearance in "Walk Hard", etc. Hell, she was even on "Psych" and made it funnier. |
