Worrying that the iPod classic may be discontinued, I bought a brand new model last October (2011) and it's still sealed in the box. I don't plan to use it until my current unit has expired. What is the best thing to do with the sealed one in regards to battery life? Is it okay to just leave it as it is. Am I degrading the battery by effectively doing nothing?
I wonder what Apple's store policy is regarding units that have remained on their shelves for a long time? Kind Regards |

Leaving a battery unused isn't any better for it than overly heavy use.
