I have a Power Point Presentation that I want to present to a class using the remote for the apple macbook pro. Problem is that I cant figure out how to do it.

Is there an app that I can use for the remote to work with Power point or am I missing something completely simple?

Thanks for the help!

Keynote will work with the remote, and I think it can import powerpoint files. Next time you should consider doing to entire presentation in keynote, it's far better then powerpoint.

We use a cross-platform remote solution at work. It has more controls than the Mac remote, plus it uses a radio signal so you can control it from much farther away, we had it working from over 40 feet away, down a hall and around the corner from the computer. Naturally, the downside is that it wasn't free.

Yes, Keynote is FAR nicer.

If I didn't need for my presentation files to work with PC users I'd be using Keynote exclusively, unfortunately that's not the case, which reminds me: Microsoft's version-to-version and platform-to-platform compatibility of Powerpoint files sucks donkey balls.

Certainly, major version releases of software can deprecate their forerunners, but it makes you feel like there's a really stupid lack of foresight when a program has to have a compatibility warning TOOL. I think that's probably the Mac fanboy in me sneaking out.

I have to say that the interface to create and control custom animations, while inelegant, does become navigable at speeed after constant use.

But so does wiping your ass.

if i can't use Keynote then I use PDF slide shows

the pecking order is the following:

Apple Keynote > Adobe PDF > Everything Else > Microsoft Powerpoint
