What?
It must be a 15". The very earliest model of 17" PowerBook was an aluminum (not titanium) running at 1 GHz. Anyway, assuming it's a 15", 500 MHz PowerBook G4 with a broken DVD drive, I'd only estimate its worth at a couple hundred dollars. |

750 American dollars? That's highway robbery for the 15" Ti.
As for the 15" Ti versus 17" Al, which of these looks more like it? 15" Titanium 17" Aluminum The 15" Ti pictured isn't really that dark in real life, though. Even with a working DVD drive, 750 is still a bit much.
It has an ATI Rage 128 Mobility with 8 MB that can't even do Quartz Extreme, the standard hard drive is a measly 20 GB, and it is over four and a half years old. Sure, it was a great machine for its day and still looks fantastic, but for performance it's a snail compared to even today's low-end iBooks. for a 500 MHz?
$500 with everything working. $400 maybe if it has an AirPort card and lots of RAM. Tell him "good luck on eBay" and let the renegotiating fly. |

I checked eBay and people are barely getting $400 for a fully working model. Don't let that guy cheat you, $750 is way too much. If you want a notebook, get a new iBook. Only a few hundred bucks more and it's a much better computer. Come waste your time with me |
