It's that time of year again... join your fellow 'Novians and talk about Tuesday's keynote in the AppleNova chat room.

iChat users: File -> Go To Chat, type "applenova" and press enter

Adium users: File -> Join Group Chat, type "applenova" and press enter.

Alternatively if you're one of those IRC fanboys, join the channel #applenova on the server irc.freenode.net.

I'll be in both places in a little while (must run errands); in the meantime, get chatting!

You ask me for a hamburger.

How many users can be in the chat room simultaneously?

On AIM, I believe the limit is roughly around 20-30.

So, if that one is full, tack on the next higher integer, ie. applenova1, applenova2, etc.

Will these be running all day or just during, and shortly after, the keynote?

They are always online, through the AIM or IRC protocol, but aren't used very much on a regular basis. They usually get traffic around the time of events like these.

Yeah... aim your DirecTV dish at Cupertino to listen in to radio chatter from Steve Jobs' underground lair.

Knowing Apple, there's got to be some sort of lawsuit for that.

Well apparently there are a few blithering idiots making fools of themselves in the AIM room, so I would advise you all to join the IRC channel.

You guys don't get it....duh...

If someone knew the satellite coordinates to Tuesday's Keynote™ — but didn't have access to a satellite — I do and could post a real-time transcript of what is happening.

I didn't know your satellite worked through roofing? Seeing as the keynote is indoors and everything...

There is a presumption, however, that Apple does broadcast Jobs' keynote via satellite. Where? Perhaps to the mothership for upload to servers for the later broadcast. Or perhaps to other Apple headquarters worldwide.

Well, there has historically been a satellite feed to the Apple Stores and some university campuses for events like this.
