So, I've been hearing things. Things that make me want to crawl in a corner and rock back and forth indefinitely.

To lessen the emotional damage caused by being assumed a furry from an innocuous, artificial citystate name, apparently correlateable to this subculture but whose correlation had passed under my radar, I have rechristened my kingdomship the Kingdomship of Ravonia!

Hurrah, now leave me alone!

I'll admit to being a mite concerned when I first saw the sign.

Still making progress on my own long-term project: Bridgeport International Airport! I completed paving and illuminating the runway tonight, and this week I'll be finish off the building interior, landscaping, and additional planes.

I may have to clear those pesky trees from the end of the runway. Could be hazardous for landings and takeoffs!

I saw the runway first in the map screenshot thread and wow, impressive. I would love to see it at night. (Hint: night maps every once in a while!)

Sure you don't want to build an incoming plane at a ninety-degree angle, that's also diagonally placed?

On my way to a store a few days ago I passed a street sign for Bridgeport Lane. Didn't stop for a pic, but it did make me laugh!! Out loud.

So I now have finished most of the touches for my Bridgeport home, I figured I post a pic of it now.

The really nice part is that I have bb help me get the design right for a cactus farm that's open to the public. You don't need to go inside because I made a drive thru window for it on the lower left corner of the house. I've seen somewhere around 40-50 for the yield after a few minutes. It really puts out! I built this cactus farm with all of you in mind. So please, use it if you need cactus and it's convenient for you.

Edit: To add in, I just came across a perfectly placed chunk error that let me show you guys the design inside the BP house. Click the pic for a big version.

Thanks to the chunk error you can see that Brad is making one awesome roller coaster through the Money Bin. I asked him about it and he let me go for a ride on it. We said it wasn't ready but I could ride if I wanted...so I did. Here's the video of my run. It was awesome!

Spoiler alert!!

There's danger at the end. Be sure you want to have the ending given away before watching.

Ok, the Bridgeport Rollercoaster is now complete! No more (actual) dangers. Just thrills! Awe! Excitement!

The ending has changed. So, if you've seen it before, you should check it out now in its proper finished state.

Skull Falls is nearly done, and it's AWFUL.... awfully tacky that is.
My first version was scaled at 30 blocks tall, which would have been GINORMOUS so I went back to the drawing board, literally.

The problem is that the skull faces my beach development on an angle, so I had to think in 3D with angled blocks, at a smaller scale.... a great first project for learning Sketchup.

So I made this happen (needs more work, though)....

and...

so it's pretty silly looking, no?

(floating off the the side you can see the remains of the first slice I had started building at the GIANT scale... need to make that go away next)

Wow, in the clear light of day it's even more ridiculous.

I need to work with the lava to put it in a place that lights up the entire screenwall behind the eyes to make them glow more... I think. Really need to see it at night before I do anything else.

Man is it stupid looking.
I think it's growing on me though.

I'm going to sculpt the land around it better... that's the solution.

I am of the opinion that the angle was a mistake. Because of the nature of the grid, you have more aesthetic flexibility in the cardinal direction frame than diagonal, unless you are 709, where you fucking own all directions.

Hmmm... still thinking about this.

At this point I'm considering changing the name of the settlement to Barfing Skull Point.

Thoughts?

Also, doesn't Robo's place out in the distance look like it could be turned into a perfect flying pirate ship??

Robo, I think you'd do a masterful job of that....

Hmm... if Robo is declining, I believe I am in the market for a new project to consume all my fleeting spare time now that the rollercoaster is complete...

How about it, Drew? Want a new airship construction benevolent dictator neighbor?

Hey everyone! The casino* is done!

*Whereby casino I mean outdoor roulette board powered by a feather-activated random number generator. I mainly wanted a use for the number generator I built and roulette was the best answer I could think of.

You enter straight and to the left when you come down from the skyway. Bring the slimeballs from your mailbox to play! (Please don't bring slimeballs from other places, because then you're just taking my diamonds ) If you want to keep playing after that, diamonds can be exchanged for slimeballs in the entrance room for 8:1.

Once you've got your slimeballs, this is the board:

You can put your slimeballs directly on the board or you can use the chests. (For streets and corners, you have to use the board.) The payouts are on the wall next to the number generator:

Once the slimeballs are on the board I hit the button to activate the random number generator:

So for example, if you bet 8 on black, and a black number comes up, you win 8 slimeballs! Those are the best odds with the lowest payout. If you bet 2 on any single number, and that number comes up, you'd win 60 slimeballs and I would owe you 7 and a half diamonds! Those are the toughest odds, but they have the highest payouts.

If you look at the board and the payouts you'll see that the odds are slightly in the house's favor, like a real casino. But that said, if you win big and break the bank, I'll mine your diamonds myself. I can handle most small bets but if anyone put double digit slimeballs on a single bet and won I would be out.

Turtle and spec were playing earlier, but lady luck was not on their side. You should stop by and at least spend the slimeballs from your mail, because it's free money!

Also, since there's no beer in Minecraft but casinos usually give away free booze, I'm giving away free cake instead. But it's on the roulette board so you can't have it until you play

Well, the point is, if I'm online and you want to play, let me know

Logic, logic, logic. Logic is the beginning of wisdom, Valeris, not the end.

The bars are done for now (may renovate the bear bar a bit, but in honesty, there are some painful memories associated with that one as of now...I feel better just leaving it somewhat bland for the time being). Can start more intense work on the Lodge tonight.

Post pics! Lots of pics.

I'm not sure what it means that the BDSM bar is the most lovingly detailed construction on the map

Perhaps predictably, I give them five stars. Each. So, fifteen stars, total.

You other fools need to step it up. 2. The streets.

Also, @ painful memories. *hugs*

and i guess i've known it all along / the truth is, you have to be soft to be strong
