I have a new Powerbook with Tiger installed. I am able to connect to my wireless connction just fine but if I leave the computer in a sleep state for an extended period of time when I return I have lost my network connection and just get the rotating beachball when I attempt to open network preferences. The only way I can reconnect is to reboot the computer. Any ideas?

I haven't experienced this as an issue myself but the new Tiger release 10.4.2 is rumoured to deal with Airport connectivity issues. If you can access Dashboard on wake from sleep, you can use the AirTraffic widget to confirm that Airport connection is in fact lost.

I don't vouch for the truth of the article http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2005/...28131658.shtml . If you are an RSS fan, it's straightforward to subscribe. I use NewsFire.

Yes, I lose connectivity in Tiger a ton aswell, it just seems to come and go, very annoying when I'm using air tunes.

So that's basically "everything but iTunes" - not very specific ...
