Though I hate the resulting coma and inevitable rehabilitation. Though for those that actually read my incoherent ramblings excuse for posts, I'm back!

On that topic, when you undergo surgery, don't you love the anesthesiologist and the drugs he pumps in your IIV that makes you higher than heroin addict actually catching the high he had when he first darted his messy ordeal.

So, do you like the drugs you get in pre-op for anxiety and just before the operation when the as you to count backwards from 10?

Last surgery I had, the stuff they pumped into me just plain knocked me out. I remember them starting to wheel me to the elevator on the way down to the OR, and the next thing I know I'm slowly waking up about an hour or so after the surgery was done. Good stuff, but I wasn't what I would call 'high' (that I could remember, anyway).

As for surgery -- last time i was knocked out I was 12 for an appendicitis. I woke up in a delirium in intensive care trying to tell my father something that was very very important, and that he must remember it. Did he? No. The bastard.

Sounds like they used propofol.
