I did a quick search of the forum to find an answer, but I couldn't find anything.
It looks like I enabled some sort of option that puts a box around an icon or button in whatever window is active. In Safari, the "back" button has a box around it. When I click on my deskton, my HD icon has the box around it. I hope I'm being clear enough because I think this is a little difficult to explain. I'm using a PB G4 and running 10.4.10. Thanks |

Sounds like VoiceOver. Try pressing cmd-F5 or going to System Preferences, Universal Access, Seeing and turning VoiceOver off, or turning off the VoiceOver cursor in VoiceOver Utility, Navigation.

Yeah, sounds like VoiceOver. Can also check in your Apple menu see if Restart, Shutdown and Log Out menu items are duplicated. If they are duplicated then VoiceOver is on. But as chucker said Cmd-F5 will toggle VoiceOver on/off.
