I have gmail set for POP access, works no problem.

But I archived and deleted my downloaded mail and I want to re-download from gmail's server. Works fine with my Comcast account, but gmail just sits there like a bump on a log, only transmitting the latest messages...

Any ideas?

(Let's pretend I don't have access to my backup disc, for the sake of the argument).

Got it to work.

I had long ago set gmail to "Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)" but I had to re-submit that setting via the web browser for it to work for some reason.

Needed to do that for all my gmail accounts.
