I am thinking of buying Apple's remote desktop but have a question before buying.

From what i've read it is basically a vnc client/server with some admin tools thrown in, But is this any faster than VNC?

I'm forced to use MS terminal server at work and am quite impressed at the speed, it is as if your on the remote machine and there only using a 100mbps lan. So, for the price tag of apples remote desktop will it be on par, speedwise than MS.

I dont want comparrisons i just need some speed reasurments.

No idea, but does anyone know if you can connect to a computer over IP...like across the internet like you can do with Timbuktu? Or is it just local networks?
