I get emails at times and they are excel documents. I try to open them, but I get a dialogue box saying "File Format No Longer Supported". WTF is this about?
I have tried deleting preferences, and fixing permissions, and reinstalling nothing matters. Now, I thought it may be a PC to MAc thing - because these are coming form a PC, but nope - I can forward these to my manager who has a G5 iMac ( I have a dual 2.5 G5 ) and he can open it fine. We both have the same Office version, which is 11.1.1, and the same OS, which is 10.3.8. I don't get what is going on with my version of excel or my machine for that matter. Has anyone heard of this happening before? |

Are you opening them from within the email or saving them to disk first?

Thanks for responding.
I have tried opening from email, and also saving to disk. It doesn't seem to matter... |

No idea.
What are the file extensions on the documents? The other thing is get info and see if you might have changed the default app to open them. After that I have nothing. Angels bleed from the tainted touch of my caress |
