I have done a search and cannot find a thread for this, anywhere, which suprises me.. But with my recent skills on Google (tips hat to Brad) I am not suprised, and fully expect to get shot down in flames in a minute!

It also seems really bad timing for a third party Spreadsheet app to materialize for OS X...

It loads Excel spreadsheets fine, and seems ok for a very early Beta.

Anyone else tried it?

I tried it earlier this evening. It crashed a few times too many for me.

Do bear in mind it's an early Beta..

Did you give them any feedback on the crashes?

I would just wait till NeoOffice's Aqua 2.0 Beta is out (Aug. 29) and use the spreadsheet in it without the ugly menus before.

Sure, start a Spreadsheet thread while I'm away on vacation.
I only stumbled across it doing another search.

I'll download the Beta now, but yes, it is a weird time for this to debut on the platform.

I've only been asking for a new Mac spreadsheet for about six years....

I just found this little gem. It's great, as far as I can see!

Finally... I can be completely rid of Office. Yick!

That's one heck of a bump.

To be honest, I'd forgotten about this one, even as I've been waiting for iWork '07 to drop.

Despite it's status as one of the only modern spreadsheet alternatives, you hear pretty much nothing about it and I've seen no reviews in the Mac mags. One would have thought that Nisus or Mellel would have gobbled this one up by now, just to round out their offerings.

Maybe they're afraid that action would trigger more scrutiny from Microsoft.
