...just taking in that rebel website vibe...

Seriously though, there is something to be said for maintaining quaint simplicity over aggressively-logical organized, power-user UI to a fault.

I do like where OSX screensavers are going, though- very cool stuff! Live animated desktops are the shizzle.

Yes, they just need to optimize it or whatever needs to be done so CPU usage is not so high.

i think that depends on quartz extreme. like if you're graphics card is qe capable or not. if it is, then a lot of graphix proc'ing if put off to it.

No not so. It uses a lot of CPU cycles on my 1.25 15" and even on my friends G5 dual 2GHz. Granted not as much as my laptop but its still a lot for what it's doing.
