So, with the release of 10.4.7 approaching the imminent stage, what do you hope to see?

Personally, I can't wait to see if Mail and iChat hide at startup...

You had me at asl

Why would you want to hide Mail and Ichat at startup? Nobody has for years.

I would like to see support for the Leica D-Lux 2 in Aperture (which comes by way of updates to the OS itself).

Dare we hope for Bluetooth A2DP Profile support? Or is that more likely to be in Leopard?

I don't think the OS can fix that, its a hardware issue more likely than not.

Sadly, I have to agree with windowsrookie. It might, I say might happen if M$ stops making MSN for Mac, which is highly likely, IMO.

...it might

Apple told beta testers to look over iChat when they it was issued, I'm only hoping that Apple see the convenience in allowing us iChat users to talk to Microsoft folk as well.

How could the whine be a hardware issue when workarounds like starting your iChat camera or PhotoBooth or downloading and starting the Quiet MBP application all makes that sound go away?

Hopefully the update will allow my Powerbook to sleep again. Ever since I upgraded, it won't sleep when I close the lid or select Sleep from the menu. Sometimes the screen will not come back on after it turned off but the fans will still be running.

Is there a fix?

I wanna see some way to improve iApp performance. Not iDVD, but the AddressBook, iCal and Mail. There is no reason that I should be looking up at a spinning ball when I open my calendar ... as if the dang thing was Mathmatica or something!?#$%&*.

Also more efficient use of memory obviously. I have an old TiBook with 39+ gigs of its 40 gigs maxed out, and there is no reason for me to watch the iApps slowly eat up storage when I'm not even doing anything.

Also, and with respect to the above, lets see Flashmemory support so that the desktop iApps and Dashboard can be snappy and independent of harddrive slowdowns. That would give me a great reason to upgrade in the Fall to a new MacBPro ... with a 2 gig Flashdrive in it.

The "Mother of All" Flip-flops.

Um, MacGregor, you should NEVER fill your harddrive more than 90% full. The computer has to do backflips when it can't use at least a couple of gigs for vertual memory.

Yes, my Gf has the 810. It's pretty sweet.

I'm holding out for a Nokia N80 next time, though.

Recent Items in the Go Menu instead of the Apple Menu. Why the heck is Recent Folders in the Go Menu, while Recent Items (documents, applications, servers) is in the Apple Menu?

Only "Recent Folders" is specific to the Finder; that's why.
