Hi,

I sold a Mac Mini to a guy about a year ago now, and he has just emailed me saying:

I'l looking for the admin password. I've tried resetting it to the password (so that i can install system upgrades), but with out the admin password I'm having no luck. Other than this everything is fine and i wouldn't be contacting you unless it was the last resort. I know you may have forgotten by now but it's worth a shot

Now I can't remember for sure what the password is. Is there a way round this, or does he need the password? Otherwise I am going to have to send a list of the likely passwords!

Run the Reset Password utility from the installation DVD.

Nothing to add here, but he hasn't needed it for a year?

Did he not install any updates or programs?

I know I've had to use the admin password at least once in the past year.
