It should automatically open /Applications/Utilities/Installer.app

Any other info you can give, like, say, the error message?

Well, I posted here back when I accidentally deleted half my applications folder and used Pacifist to install all the necessary programs that came with the powerbook. Among them, Installer and Disk Utilities didn't get restored.

The error message I can't reproduce because I tried to set another program to open it, with no luck. it was a 5 or 6 digit number of some kind though.

I guess that's the problem, I'll have to try and reinstall tiger's installer app.
