I have a iMac 5K Late 2015 and need RAM LIKE STAT!

OWC is still like $1,000 for 64gigs - any other options? Any difference between RAM?

Just buy regular DDR3/DDR4 SO-DIMMs from newegg or amazon, nothing special about RAM for Mac's in a long time. Just keep in mind, RAM prices are way up lately, due to demand (mostly from smartphones).

Corsair, G.skill, Cirucial, Kingston, etc all work fine in my experience.

Just like amazon the specs and they'll all work the same? Im using , Lightroom, CaptureOne Pro, Premier Pro CC 4K videos, Affinity Programs, Photoshops, etc

(update: I check amazon, and not seeing anything with like 64GB kits)

27" iMac's have 4 slots, so you'd need 4x16GB. If you cannot find that just get 2 kits with 2x16GB.

Is your machine using DDR3 or DDR4 memory? NCIX US (US branch of a big Canadian PC parts retailer) has kits with 2x16GB, so you'd just need to get two kits. Some to be found on newegg as well, they come in 4x16GB kits (DDR4 only).

1867 MHz DDR3 is what the About says.

Okay, looks like you don't have too many options from reputable DRAM makers, clearly 1867/1866Mhz was not widely used spec in the industry (good job Apple). Not may options sadly. OWC might be your best bet after all.

One other option is to buy a higher spec DIMM, which will just down clock itself to the max 1867Mhz of the memory controller.

Chuckers, Def. cheaper, but Im still more worried about performance. That's the only thing I've never been able to get to the bottom of.

I have had great products from Mushkin in the past. Plus, they do have a lifetime warranty so you wouldn't be out any money if one did fail. My most recent build is Corsair, really only because their kit was cheaper than the competitors at the time I ordered them. Granted, these are desktop DIMMs but still. I got four of them.

No need to worry about Mushkin, they have a good reputation. I've had their RAM in a few machines of mine over the years and never had any trouble.

Can't say anything either way about the brand.

Performance as in speed, though: it'll be identical, as the 1867 MHz determines that.
