I wonder if my connection is still being unstable. It hasn't dropped according to my monitoring, but that doesn't mean that it has completely resolved either.

I remember there for a while we scripted the restarting of the MC server every morning around 5AM. Maybe we need to look at doing that again. Please keep me posted if you see this continue. I'm guessing Java sucks and that's why. I mean, Java sucks.

Server needs another restart, whenever.
If it took a month to get to the bad place again, that's not terrible. Maybe it could be scripted to restart once a week instead of every day? So it goes. |

I restarted the server this morning when no one was one. Should be better. I'll look at restarting at least weekly again. I think the script is still set for nightly so I might just have it run nightly at 2AM again.

In the not to distant future I'm taking the server down to add another 32GB of RAM to the ESXi host the MC server VM is running on. It should be down less than a hour total but I'm not really sure how long it will take me. I'm shooting to make it happen tonight and will check to be sure no one is actively playing when I shut it down.

I did manage to complete this upgrade today but I have one more upgrade to do on the host. I am not going to do it tonight because I'm tired and don't feel like it.

All upgrades on the host and even the MC server itself got finished last night. I ended up doing it all last night so we are good to go.
Also, Verizon seems to like me again. I've not been having my internet come and go anymore. Things have been really stable for me. Guess they like me paying them for service. I'm still suffering here guys. This sucks so bad right now. I had to resort to pulling the Verizon issue router out of the box in an effort to get online at all here at my house. I work from home so this is REALLY frustrating me.

If what I see on the satellite+radar is correct, T's home area is getting hit by the same line of storms that is currently soaking my house, and I'm guessing something knocked out his power and/or network. OK. Still hot or miss right now. Should be stable in less than five minutes...assuming the storm doesn't cause issues. This time the issues were with my router itself. It glitched out so I had to force it to reboot, then do a bunch of other "tweaking" to get it actually working... blah blah...
Anyway, should be solid in 5 to 10 minutes. Forcing software/firmware updates right now that should address the stability issues.
