Which is better for mac pages or word?

All depends of whom you ask (Apple or Microsoft)

I like Pages better. It's more powerful on the functions I think are important.

Pages is also a lot simpler than Word. While Word has a gigantic preferences window, Pages's is really empty. IMO, Pages is a lot more intuitive and easier to use than Word.

I've used both Pages and Word (2004)... I prefer Pages, though it's not perfect. Looking forward to future revisions. It's more integrated with the UI of Mac OS X and not as mindnumbingly annoying as Word.
