DETAILS:
- Apple iBook G3/700, 640MB, OSX 10.2.8, airport installed - Dell Dimension 3000, 1GB, WinXP-SP2 - NetGear Wireless Router - Iomega StorCenter 160GB Ethernet/USB2 Ext. HDD ISSUE: I have my external ethernet hdd hardwired direct to my router and shared to both my PC and Mac. When I "connect the server" in OSX 10.2.8 on the iBook, it never seems to want to reconnect after reboot or restart. When it is connected it works just fine, but when I shutdown or restart, it loses the connection. How do I setup in OSX this resource to always reconnect? Grazie! |

You know, I was thinking about this in the shower this morning... your brain does funny stuff when 100-degree water is being poured on it. I was thinking "hmm, what if I buy a hard disk and ethernet-bridge it to the router. I wonder if I could set up OS X to automatically mount it when I join the network with my iBook"?
I'd like to know the answer too. You ask me for a hamburger. |
