Hi, i have 2 questions about dvd player on my imac. first, is there a way i can capture an image that i have while im playing a movie? also is there an adapter that will let me output my dvd playing on my imac to s-video cable or a/v (i dont care so much about sound). I need to project dvd and my other option is a crappy hp notebook that is trying to change the ratio of the dvd. thanks!

Have you ever tried it? Hint: it doesn't work when a DVD is playing.

You'll have to grab a third-party screenshot utility. Try one of these.

Regarding this, though:

This is what you want for $19.00: Apple Video Adapter

Or you can play your DVD through VLC and choose Video->Snapshot (or use the Cmd-Opt-S keyboard shortcut). This applies to any video played through VLC.
