I received an email from http://www.tyler-eagle.com/ about a user account. Well, I've never seen or heard of this company, so I wouldn't have paid much attention, except that the email had a password I use often.

I only saw one place to log on to that website and it didn't work. What is up with that? I'm a little freaked out. |

Ouch, that's odd. I was going to say maybe they bought out some other company that you signed up with previously - but I highly doubt you do technology purchasing for county governments

Might be a polite nudge from the universe reminding you to change passwords more often.
(And not use the same one multiple places.) |

Exactly, change ALL of your passwords ASAP (not to state the obvious...).

And in the bizarro world case where you never were associated with said site...
maybe there is an evil twin dsweigart who's inadvertently or Jungian-Achasically picked the same password as you... Try logging in to some banks or etrade companies with your password to see if you can empty the bastard's accounts and/or steal your evil twin's identity back! |
