I have a G4 1 Ghz Powerbook and i was just working when all of a sudden it ejected the dvd (simpsons season 8) from the drive. When i tried to put the disc back in it just ejects it again without ever mounting it. I don't have any other DVDs to try at the moment because I'm out and the disc was just sitting in the drive (not playing). I don't have a dvd case so i'll have to carry my dvd home in my hand if i can't get it to stay in the computer. Does anyone know what i can do?

Hi
im new here but not new to your problem. My Titanium laptop started doing this and i went round the houses - some firmware reset menitions on the apple site, i actually managed to get it going again for a while with 20 times pushing it in then got it going again by putting it in and ejecting it with toast????.................but at the end of the day I bought a new better superdrive and replaced it myself - they dont last forever hope it helps mick |
