I never played Second Life, but have long been fascinated with what I read about it more than a decade ago. One of the stories that I've been trying to track down is the tale of an epic grief where a user set off a nuke inside the game. I could not understand how that even happened, programmatically, but the write up was compelling; it made it sound like the world that Stephen Donaldson put into text with his book about Dodge in Hell.
Can anybody else remember that Second Life event? The story might have been in Wired. ... |
