Due to some datacenter changes at Linode (our hosting provider), AppleNova's public IP address will be changing from 67.18.208.164 to 104.200.18.91. The server currently listens on both addresses for a temporary transition period. I'm updating the public DNS entry now, and if all goes as planned, no one should notice the change.
I doubt anyone still has any old /etc/hosts files lingering around that still point to our hard-coded IPv4 address, but if you do, now's the time to change it or drop it! The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting. |

I totally missed this post and was hit by this change. I had a lingering hosts file change.
My email notifications just finally came though too. |
