Guys,

not sure if it's only me that experiences this, but whenever i have a disc in my cd drive (powermac g5) and have not accessed it for while and then try and open some files on the disc or even eject the disc, it takes an age and a half to a) load the file or b) to eject the disc. It's like it almost has to spin the disc up first but wake for a giant sleep and then realise it's being accessed. Is this just me that experiences this? personally I find it quite frustrating.

well, it does have to spin the disk up so it is going to take about 20 seconds.
